Hello, hungry ones.

Chicken cordon Bleu sounds fancy – and tastes fancy too – we know, but it is one of the easiest things to make in the kitchen. Now fancy and easy is one of the best combinations you can have in, like, anything. Except perhaps your life partner. But with food? Def.

Let’s get cooking!

What you need:

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 pcs store bought ham or Parma if you want to gourmet it up
  • 1/2 C cheese, grated
  • 1/4 C flour seasoned with 1/4 t salt, 1/4 t pepper, 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup panko (Japanese) breadcrumbs
  • 2 chicken  breasts, deboned and skinned (just buy chicken breast fillets)

What to do:

  1. Pound chicken to 1/2 inch thickness, pound it with anything! In our case, because we’re just too cool, we used  the back of the knife.
  2. Lay em down and cover it with ham, depending on the size of the chicken. Add cheese. Make sure there’s still room for rolling action. 529357_10200883812600102_1164631873_n
  3. Roll tightly but not too tight just that it’s solid and compact. Cheat: hold it in with a toothpick but remember to remove upon serving!24454_10200883814720155_1428636177_n
  4. Now prep for deep frying. First, roll it in egg. Then flour, egg again, and panko.558882_10200883814600152_1982814589_n
  5. Now heat some oil, a lot for deep frying, and when hot enough, dunk your chicken rolls.
  6. Fry til golden brown and cooked all the way inside takes about 5-7 minutes on each side.547945_10200883815920185_1158507912_n
  7. Slice and serve!
