Grilled Fish with Hot Lemon Butter Sauce

Hello, hungry ones.

Summer’s here! Seafood is in! We are going to have some fish, and for this recipe we have something that’s called Dugso or Emperor. Grilled! Perfect for the beach, I reckon. Enjoy!

What you need:

  • fish fillets/cuts

for the marinade:

  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 squeezed lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

for the sauce

  • 1 squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 C butter
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 t paprika

What to do:

For the marinade:

  1. Combine everything into a bowl. Mix.

For the fish:

  1. In a resealable container add fish and marinate. Leave marinated for at least 1 hour.8579_10200883957123715_1369319641_n
  2. After marinating, grill at 5 minutes per side.


For the sauce:

  1. In a sauce pan, melt 1/4 cup butter, add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp paprika.


AND THAT’S IT. Plate it, and serve while hot! Enjoy!

    We will be living on a boat from now on, I might ask you how to cook the fish we will be catching! I guess garlic and lemon cannot go wrong, no matter the fish?

We will be in the Bahamas area for some time, and when we learn to sail and navigate we will keep going all around South and Central America, cross the Panama canal, and from Galapagos Islands, across the Pacific, Tonga, Australia. After that we’ll see… We have no plan, we improvise and decide what to do as we go.
        Lots of fish in the Pacific, they say! And I love cooking too. I will also try to do local recipes from the islanders, we might exchange info!
