Hello, hungry ones.

We are having homemade tortillas today, just cause it’s better than store bought ones and cheaper too! (And we’re craving tortillas and it’s not available in our corner store!)

What you need:

  • 2 C of flour (plus a lot more)
  • 3/4 C water
  • 3 T olive oil
  • 1/4 t salt

What to do:

  1. In a bowl combine flour and salt. Add water and oil. Mix well, add flour to smoothen dough and knead 12 times (or more), add more flour or water depending on the consistency. If too wet, add flour, if too dry or breaks easily add a lil bit water. Let rest for 10 minutes then cut into 8 proportions.558569_10200934468266462_1118791970_n
  2. Form into 6 inch tortillas, using a rolling pin or in my case a tall drinking glass because I didn’t have one handy.
  3. In a non stick pan, medium heat, add 1 tbsp oil. and cook each tortilla 1-2 mins each or until it browns but not too much so that it’s still foldable.
