Hello, hungry ones! Should I say thirsty ones today? I am going to share one of my recent concoctions as of late: The turmeric cinnamon tea. Having read about tons of benefits one gets from taking turmeric, I have decided to make tea using ingredients from the spice rack and test its benefits. It is beneficial. So yes, it can actually help you fight diseases by boosting that immune system, act as pain killers, fight diabetes and helps prevent Alzheimer’s too. What more can you ask for? To have my own daily supply of goodness, I decided to make my own drink instead. Here’s how to make the tea in under ten minutes.

What you need:

  • 1 300 ml glass bottle
  • 300 ml boiling water
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger root, minced
  • 1 teabag green tea
  • lemon slice, honey

What to do:

  1. Put turmeric, cinnamon, ginger root in a bottle. Pour the hot water inside and then seal it. Shake vigorously for a minute (use a paper towel to wrap the bottle as it will be hot).
  2. Pour into a cup. Put teabag in. Steep for 3 minutes. Take teabag out. Add honey and a slice of lemon. Enjoy!
